Beautiful paintings to dream away at
For
artist Brighart a dream has been fulfilled. Her work can be admired from
15 through 18 February, 2012 in London. Art historian and - trader Mr.
Chris Barlow invited Brighart to take part in the Parallax Art Fair
P(AF)3. A contemporary art fair that presents work of artists from the
all over the world. The invitation resulted in an exciting three weeks,
as her work had to pass selection by an election commission. In the
meantime it is clear that the work of Dutch artist Brighart can now be
enjoyed in London too.
Brighart paints an intangible reality in an intuitive manner by which she gives expression to positive feelings that she wants convey to the spectator. Poppers pronouncement “Optimism is a moral duty “ is one of the important sources of inspiration for Brighart just like “the world is a mirror of yourself “ of Willem de Ridder is for her.
Her work is very pleasing to the eye by the beautiful colours,
shapes, lines and textures. Not much is told, it is all the more what is
suggested what spurs on the observers imagination. Brighart uses
several new techniques whereby she dilutes or mixes the paint with sand,
flakes, glass or other material. Her paintings thus created acquire a
certain texture, layering and shine all of its own. This expressionist
work renders joy. Its abstract character leaves plenty room for the
observers very personal interpretation as well. In short, paintings to
let yourself be inspired into positivity and to dream away at.
